"Speakeasy Pete sits me down and asks for me to explain it all from the start. I fidget. The chair isn’t real. Do you understand? A comfortable metaphor.

Outside of the outside of a dream, removed. A place where transmissions become a thick and tangible. Thick as ropes. Evidence even of a great lie forced upon not only the human race but the animals, the flowers and even the dirt. Every cell, every concept. They chose me to deliver it. I had to share it. They never stopped watching me. My life was in danger.

From the mouth of a that most sacred of beasts, drips wasted genetics, that should have been swallowed rather than left to die. The council hadn’t been formed yet so those of us that had seen the eyes could pretty much do whatever we wanted.

But I stare at her. Perfect clouds burst translations of the word and they rain down on our disfigured bodies. Slimy limbs crawl around our fluids before making the tiny alterations to our skin.

Another wound stretches wide to reveal fingers meant only for another accusation. I am invited and I accept. Sensation engorges, the screaming starts long before I tear through. My head purposely empty. I am not me.

I am thanked and asked to leave. An end to suffering.

The walls were painted black illuminated by tiny purple lights. Swimming. Tiny bubbles. Something I couldn’t see or touch. Watching, waiting. My fingertips disintegrate. The atoms reconfigure.

Nature is it’s own prophet, and it hates itself.

There was a tombstone with an etching: FOR EVERYONE I LET DOWN I LEAVE A TRAIL OF GOLD."
