Superb new wave / synthpop intermixed with the darkness of post-punk, coming together to resemble a lost relic from the early 1980s. The sparkling sound of the synths and guitars contrasted with the melancholy of the vocals and descriptive lyrics give this album a great duality. At moments swinging a larger rockstar swagger, and at others, deep in a pensive despair, a fair bit of emotion is laid out for display. The shreds of shoegaze that pop also give a more expansive sound in moments.
